Annapolis Junction, MD, May 15, 2008 — For the second consecutive year, PROTEUS Technologies was honored by the Tech Council of Maryland (TCM) as a Government Contractor of the Year finalist in its 20th Annual Dinner and Tech Award Celebration. The TCM, the state’s largest technology trade association, honors Maryland technology businesses and the leaders who have made outstanding contributions within their respective categories. The Government Contractor of the Year Award is presented to the company that has proven its ability to provide exemplary service to our nation, as either a prime or subcontractor. Finalists were honored and the winners announced on May 15th to an audience of more than 900 guests during the 20th Annual Tech Awards Celebration held in Bethesda
For 20 years TCM has recognized the outstanding achievements of the IT and biotechnology communities in the state of Maryland. The Annual Dinner and Tech Awards Celebration, known as Maryland’s Best Night of Networking, received more nominations this year than any year in its history. PROTEUS’ Director of Communications, Karen Locke said, “As a growing company and leading provider of innovative software and system engineering solutions, PROTEUS could not be more proud of our employees, and their incredible dedication and commitment to the mission of our Government clients. We are pleased to be among the top finalists for a second time”.
The Government Contractor of the Year award recognizes the company that 1) demonstrates and has achieved growth in revenue and profitability through execution of a clear strategy; 2) developed critical expertise in its service to the government, 3) improved the level of service or cut costs of either the government or a prime contractor, and 4) has demonstrated success in partnering with other contracting firms in the region. The 5 finalists for Government Contracting Firm of the Year for 2008 included: Aquilent, Inc., InfoZen, Oberon Associates, PROTEUS Technologies, and TeleCommunication Systems, Inc.
