AFCEA Central Maryland Supported by PROTEUS and Industry Partners

PROTEUS Team Members Proud to Support AFCEA Initiatives

May 03, 2007, Annapolis Junction, MD – Today, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Central Maryland Chapter (www.afceacmd.org) announced their 2007 Executive Committee Officers.  While the Central Maryland Chapter commonly leverages the Intelligence Community (IC) Industry leadership, PROTEUS’ own Executive Vice President, Dr. Charles T. Taylor was no exception.  Dr. Taylor was elected to hold the distinguished honor of AFCEA CMD Vice President of Small Business Affairs role.   In this role, he will serve a one-year term, serving the association and small business needs within the community.

Taylor said, "I am honored to have the opportunity to support the AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter in this new role.  AFCEA is an organization corporately supported by PROTEUS and many of our industry partners, and is dedicated to scientific education, scholarships and the advancement of technology, as well as committed to improving the overall communication and business relationships between industry and the government.  I look forward to the challenges of the office, and advancing the mission of AFCEA.”

PROTEUS staffers have also supported AFCEA’s recent initiative to provide Magazines for Troops serving overseas.  Mr. Owen Chambers, a web developer and graphic artist with PROTEUS, volunteers his time and leadership for this important program.  According to Chambers, “As the point of contact for the Magazines for Troops donation effort, I am happy to be doing something positive for our troops who are fighting for our freedom, and deserve to have some of the comforts of home.”
