Highlights PROTEUS’ move up from 2006

March 16, 2007, Annapolis Junction, MD – The Baltimore Business Journal sponsors an annual “Book of Lists” to showcase businesses within the region that are “best in class” based on criteria appropriate for each industry, such as sales or customer growth, size, and charitable donations, to name a few.  Within the technology sector, PROTEUS Technologies is ranked 3rd in the list of the top 25 software development firms.

The software firms appearing on the annual list submit a corporate profile to the Baltimore Business Journal, and are ranked according to annual revenue from software development services.  PROTEUS moved from the 6th largest revenue producer of software companies surveyed in 2006 to 3rd in 2007.  According to company spokesperson Karen Locke, “We are pleased to be recognized as one of the leading software companies in the area.  Our software engineering team works extremely well together and with their clients to develop robust solutions.  It is gratifying to see company growth that is fueled by such a talented and enthusiastic group.”  PROTEUS’ revenues in 2006 were approximately $12M, up from $9M in 2005.
