PROTEUS Technologies, a leading provider of software and systems engineering solutions, announced the opening of its recently expanded and renovated Maryland-based Corporate Headquarters. The company added approximately 17,500 square feet to its headquarters facility, effectively doubling its occupancy space in the building located at 133 National Business Parkway in Annapolis Junction. The additional space will bring the software and systems engineering company's total occupancy of the building to approximately 26,000 square feet and make PROTEUS the majority stakeholder. PROTEUS will also continue to maintain its Engineering Solutions Office located in Columbia, Maryland for combined office facilities of over 35,000 square feet.
Highly anticipated, the new facility is a reflection of the company’s success in providing innovative solutions to the National Intelligence Community and Health Care Industry bolstering revenue growth of over 1,000% in the last 5 years. “We’re opening this new facility with our client(s), industry partners, and employees’ current and future needs at the forefront of importance,” stated Dr. Charles Taylor, PROTEUS Executive Vice President. “The new ‘state-of-the-art’ engineering facility supports multi-contractor classified and unclassified program development, cutting-edge lab facilities, including a graphics support lab, an IT Lab, and PROTEUS’ ATHENA Advanced Research and Development Lab, which houses its Net-Centric Capabilities, High-Performance Computing, and Knowledge and Language initiatives”. Supported by a high-bandwidth, fiber optic gigabit backbone, the facility will assist PROTEUS engineers in solving some of the world’s most challenging problems found in requirements for our Nation’s defense.
The new facility, externally adorned with “PROTEUS Technologies” signage, will also provide its employees a place to meet, relax, and de-stress from a hard day of work. PROTEUS Fitness, LLC will run a 2,500 square foot exercise facility available to all PROTEUS employees, equipped with cardiovascular exercise equipment, free weights, and a variety of strength training machines.
