Bowie Baysox Event Supports AFCEA Scholarship Fundraising Efforts
Bowie, MD — August 20, 2009

For the second consecutive year, PROTEUS Technologies teamed with local partner companies to raise awareness and resources for the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) College Scholarship Fund. Alongside Praxis Engineering, Pyxis Systems, Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics and GZ Inc., PROTEUS raised $3600 to benefit high school students aspiring to obtain a college degree within information technology and communications.

PROTEUS' Associate Director of Human Resources, Stephanie Moss, stated, "We're committed to helping AFCEA encourage students to pursue and realize their aspirations in the fields of IT and communications."

Guests gathered at Bowie Baysox Stadium on August 16 to take in the game and to partake in a silent auction and bid on items from sports memorabilia to travel and getaways. This year's most popular bidding piece was an Adam Jones, Baltimore Orioles All Star Outfielder, autographed baseball.
