Jeremy A. Bryan, PMP
Director, Applied Research

Mr. Jeremy A. Bryan joined PROTEUS in 2005 as a Member of Technical Staff and is now Director, Applied Research. In this role, Jeremy will oversee at least six of PROTEUS' most critical contracts, providing technical leadership and programmatic support. Previously, Jeremy managed PROTEUS' efforts across several intelligence community programs. He has also worked diligently in seeking and capturing technical opportunities for unclassified work, providing challenging tasking for PROTEUS engineers awaiting clearances.

Jeremy's software development expertise encompasses the full life-cycle, including technical leadership, design, documentation, development and testing. He has particular expertise in application development using Java (J2SE) and Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) technologies. Early in his career, Jeremy worked for the Department of Navy on the analytic side of software algorithm definition — and leveraged his undergraduate work in Operations Research for fire control systems of ballistic subs. This sparked his passion for developing software and objected oriented design, ultimately leading to proficiency in a multitude of software languages through self-instruction.

Jeremy earned a M.E. in Modeling and Simulation from the Old Dominion University, and a B.A. in Mathematics from Shippensburg University. At Shippensburg, Jeremy was dedicated to athletics as well — he was a wrestler for this Division II University. He is a certified Project Management Professional and has recently completed executive management training from MIT Sloan. He also holds certifications as a Sun Certified Java Programmer and Sun Certified Web Component Developer.

In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys working out and visiting historical places, as well as spending time with his family, including his wife, young son and pets.
